ANDREW PARK, DO, MPH, DiMM

Dr. Park is from Oakley, Kansas and grew up in a family that was passionate about the outdoors.  Andrew trained in Bronx, New York, worked in Kansas City for 14 years at an academic residency program and then attended a Wilderness Medicine Fellowship at the University of Vermont 2023/2024.

During his wilderness fellowship he was an expedition physician in the JIRP program in Alaska, co-led the Mt. Orizaba mountaineering trip with Wild Med, volunteered on the Camel’s Hump Backcountry Rescue Team, taught wilderness medicine to students and residents at UVM, and co-authored many papers and research projects with many still in the works. He has also climbed and traveled throughout the world and enjoys meeting new people and exploring new places.

His main interests are expedition medicine and search and rescue. He loves how Wilderness Medicine provides a way to be a leader and educator in a field that works to understand how we can better interact in our ecosystems to promote individual and environmental health.  He enjoys teaching with Wild Med Adventures and the many opportunities to expand his wilderness medicine skillset while at the same time learning how he can better impact those local communities we interact with in other countries in a positive way.
