MOUNTAIN MEDICINE CME
Sept. 27TH - Oct 10TH, 2026
Join our Mountain Medicine CME course and rise above the rainforests on the island of New Guinea and stand on the tallest peak on Oceania/Australasia and one of the Seven Summits, Carstensz Pyramid (16,023’). We have a 13 Night / 14 Day Expedition planned with built-in weather days to try to give everyone the best chance at success at reaching the Summit.
Scale the most exotic of the Seven Summits in an adventure entailing an amazing and exciting high-altitude rock scramble / climb.
With our expert team of instructors and guides, we have the ability and connections to deal with the uncertainties of climbing Carstensz Pyramid, a mountain notorious for its logistical challenges. We will rely on local guides with years of experience climbing and guiding this mountain.
You will enjoy a “TRUE” Adventure and have a chance to experience an amazingly rich culture.
Enjoy a Full Rest Day in Bali while catching up on sleep from your travels and then experience multiple flights and a helicopter lift to high camp.
Carstensz Pyramid: as taken from Wiki - (Carstenszpiramide) on the island of New Guinea, with an elevation of 4,884 m (16,024 ft), is the highest mountain peak of an island on Earth, and the highest peak in Indonesia. As the western half of New Guinea is politically associated with Southeast Asia (on account of being part of Indonesia), Puncak Jaya can be considered the 8th highest mountain of this region. However, as the whole island of New Guinea is biogeographically part of the Australian continent, the peak can also be considered the highest of all Oceania, and thus one of the Seven Summits.
