Joseph (Joe) Stevens, DO
Joe grew up in the outdoors of Southern Maine. All of his outdoor activities more or less revolve around fishing. Backpacking to fish, canoeing/kayaking to fish, traveling to fish. Whatever he's doing, it usually ends with a line in the water. Joe went to medical school in eastern Kentucky at Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. While living in Appalachia, Joe became AWLS certified, led the student wilderness medicine group , set up rafting trips, and organized first aid volunteers for the local trail ultra marathon.
Joe completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Baystate in Western Massachusetts. A big factor in choosing Baystate was being able to get off of a morning ED shift, fish the evening rise on one of the nearby world class rivers, sleep in his own bed, and get up to do it again.
Joe currently works as an EM physician in Greensboro, NC and we are excited to have him join us on many future adventures.
