Brian Hagan, MD
Dr. Hagan is an ER doctor working nights in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. Raised in Maine and attending schools in New England, he was historically averse to walking uphill. After working as a carpenter and a commercial fisherman, his plans to become a firefighter were put on hold by an unexpected acceptance to medical school. He eventually met and trained under Dr. Mattingly as an ER resident at Baystate Medical Center. After joining the Wild Med family, he has changed his mind about walking uphill, and has had glorious adventures with Wild Med climbing volcanoes in Guatemala, glaciers in Mongolia, and a scenic 19,000 foot hike in Tanzania. In addition to seeing the world, Wild Med has helped him pursue his interests in wilderness medicine and providing care in austere environments.
