Accommodations & food
• Overnights in Nairobi in hotel on double occupancy basis on Day 1 and Day 9.
• Camping sleeping arrangements will be in shared two person canvas tents with comfortable camp beds and mattresses. We will all be responsible for erecting and packing our own allocated tents and sleeping equipment. The camping will be very comfortable but not luxurious. Delegates will be expected to get involved with camp tasks when required.
• While camping we will have bucket showers and pit latrine toilets which we will set up as part of the camp craft teaching skills. Water will be collected from a relatively local source and will need to be used sparingly given the scarcity of the supply.
• As much as possible, the food that we eat will be sourced from environmentally responsible local Kenyan suppliers. It will be eaten under a canvas awning mess area that will be the central focus of the camp. This is also where lectures will be delivered.
• A selection of beers, cider, wine, spirits and tonic will be included on an all inclusive basis with a reasonable supply based on available space.
We’ll do our best to cater for any specific dietary requirements.
