LINDSEY BALL, MD, FAWM
Dr. Lindsey Ball is a board-certified emergency medicine physician, currently living in San Diego, where she graduated from her emergency ultrasound fellowship in 2018 and now works in a community hospital. During her medical school and residency training, she was thrilled to learn that she could combine both her love of the outdoors and her career in emergency medicine through wilderness medicine. Lindsey completed her FAWM in 2018 and continues to look for new opportunities to go on her next adventure. She met our Wild Med Adventure’s crew at our first Austria Ski CME course, where she taught point of care emergency ultrasound while enjoying the Austrian Alps. Born in Vermont and transplanted to California as a teenager, Lindsey finds she is most happy and connected to the world when playing outside with like-minded company. She can often be found at the beach with her Australian Shepherds or planning her next trip to the mountains. Also a painter, Lindsey has had her art published in multiple places, including the Wilderness Medicine Society’s Journal of Wilderness and Environmental Medicine. We are excited to have Lindsey as part of our crew and expand our expertise in the benefits of using ultrasound in remote areas.
